i can honestly say i never broke my gears in, i got them installed and beat the snot out of the car... never had a problem.. had the fluid in the rear changed last summer and other than smelling rank all was well.. im either lucky or ford makes a damn good product.

that would be the secret shit ford dont tell you about.. digital spedo, rpm, temp, fuel distance left per whats in the tank at the time, and a bunch of other shit i cant remember unless im looking at it lol.. i use it all the time for precise rpm's, and fuel because i like to know.

i got mine installed for 600, the headers cost me about 600 prior to the install so all in all it was 1200. i should also add that the guy that did my headers said they were a perfect fit. there was no issue getting them to fit.

seeing how i have experence with both the sct live wire and sf3 along with the diablo predator for the 96 to 04 2 valve cars ill pipe in... sct is a more agressive tune stock for stock.. a typical sct unit will make your car more prone to detonation and its more tempermental when it comes to...

if you tweek the options the only way they wouldnt save is if you didnt pair the tuner to your car, if you already paired the tuner then whatever changes you make should stay resident in the tuner even if you choose not to update the the tune with those settings(thats how mine works anyway)...

i have the same gears, i also got the ford rebuild kit as well and it was by far the best investment thus far.
